Soooo Cultured!

Great weekend
Josh was off to his Gary's, so Julie and I had some time to ourselves. Well not really we were off to Toronto to see a musical called Rock of Ages, not bad in the scheme of things but it really isn't my kind of thing..at least I could drink while we saw the play :) Afterwards we had reservations at The Sultans tent a Moroccan themed restaurant with belly dancers, which was good fun and the food was great. Our group split up after, half went back to the hotel and the other to the pub, Fionn MacCools. The other part off our party rejoined an hour or so later...we pretty much were there 'til closing. Some of us were in a right state!
Sunday, we returned home for a big Jiggs dinner put on by our neighbours. A Jiggs dinner is a traditional Newfoundland meal, typically on Sunday. The meal was amazing, as usual, Joe and Roxanne did an amazing job!! The meal was a combination of salt beef, mustard pickles, pickled beets, cranberry sauce, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, turnip, turnip greens, bread pudding, dressing, pease pudding and a cooked turkey. Stuffed to the gills, we retired outside to have a few before the hockey game. Joe had other ideas!!! A bottle of Tequila was produced and shot glasses, after that a bottle of Wiser's whiskey and the Glenlivet. I'll put it this way, the neighbourhood was very quiet Monday :-)

Things are progressing well, slowly but surely the house is emptying out. Thank you all for your support! We will be having a get together this weekend to have a few drinks and celebrate and say our goodbyes to our friends/neighbours/family. I will be watching the England v USA match for sure KO is at 2:30pm, would love the company. Depending on the weather , we could get the fire pit opened up as well. Hope to see you here!
Shane and Rick, can you please forward to any of the hockey guys I missed

Cheers,
Glenn, Julie and Josh
