As many of you know, I have a passion for football (well truth told
mostly Chelsea), travel ( especially England or Europe ) and by
default so has my wife Julie and to some extent my son Josh. To be honest, Julie and I both love England and have talked about living in the UK for years but
the timing has never been right. Well the time has come. With house
prices rising and the $ doing so well against the £, financially it
makes sense. We have decided to chuck it all in and give it a go!!!
We do love it here in Cambridge and it will be sad to sell the
homestead and to leave the friends and neighbours we love but the time
is right. Initially we will be committing to a 5 year term but that may
be extended, we plan on exploring the country and using this as a
jumping off point to travel through the British Isles, Europe and
beyond...money permitting. Of course, it also means following Chelsea,
Ebbsfleet, or local club and England and bringing a little bit of
Canada into England for our new neighbors. I do love a good pint,
Guinness, a good Ale and wee dram, I couldn't be in a better spot.
I will miss my friends, mates, teammates, Hockey, Kamikaze,
Bulldogs, crappy beer at the Ice Park...well not really, The Burns Howf (my Local), The Duke(the other)...all the neighbors and of course all of our family in the CIA.
Remember, you have a place to stay...well at least a couch
and I can show you round the manor!!
So, as of now...everything is for sale!!! The House and Car
included, if you're interested in the house...seriously, then we could
do a deal with some or all the furniture as well. If you ever
covetted/wanted/needed/wished for anything you've seen at Casa del
Burger let me know, it could be yours for a small fee or maybe given to
you if I'm in the right spirits...speaking of which...I've got a full
bar and it needs to be cleaned out before we leave ( damn tarriff on
booze!!!) The plan is to have a frequent Garage/Yard/Moving sales until
the stuff is gone, probably starting this weekend. Our tentative moving
date is July 1st (thats right 2 months!!!), so it will be moving fast. I'll send out updates to let you know the progress.
